Public holidays in Bulgaria
Bulgaria has 15 official public holidays — one of the highest in Europe. These include New Year's Day, Liberation Day (March 3), Orthodox Easter (Friday through Monday), Labour Day, St. George's Day (May 6), Culture and Literacy Day (May 24), Unification Day (September 6), Independence Day (September 22), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after Christmas. Employees get 20 paid vacation days minimum.
