Cyprus has 14 official public holidays, including New Year's Day, Epiphany, Green Monday (50 days before Orthodox Easter), Greek Independence Day (March 25), Good Friday and Easter Monday (Orthodox dates), Labour Day, Pentecost/Kataklysmos, Assumption Day (August 15), Cyprus Independence Day (October 1), Ochi Day (October 28), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day. Employees get a minimum of 20 paid vacation days.
