The Czech Republic has 13 public holidays. These include New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Labour Day, Liberation Day (May 8), Saints Cyril and Methodius Day (July 5), Jan Hus Day (July 6), Czech Statehood Day (September 28), Independence Day (October 28), Freedom and Democracy Day (November 17), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and St. Stephen's Day. Employees are entitled to a minimum of 20 paid vacation days per year.
