Public holidays in Hungary
Hungary has 11 public holidays: New Year's Day, National Day/1848 Revolution (March 15), Good Friday, Easter Monday, Labour Day, Whit Monday, St. Stephen's Day (August 20), Republic Day (October 23), All Saints' Day, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day. Hungary has a unique "bridge day" system where the government officially designates working Saturdays to create long weekends. The minimum annual leave is 20 working days, increasing by age (up to 30 days at age 45+).
