Non-taxable benefits in Sweden
Swedish employers can offer tax-free benefits including wellness allowance (friskvårdsbidrag) up to SEK 5,000/year, free parking at the workplace, minor gifts (up to SEK 500/occasion, max 3 per year), employer pension contributions beyond the mandatory level (typically 4.5-6% of salary is standard, with additional contributions being tax-efficient), massage during work hours, staff parties (up to 2 per year), and home-to-work bicycle or electric bicycle (förmånscykel). Company cars are subject to a benefit-in-kind calculation based on the car's value and environmental class.
